The Summer issue of Abersoch Magazine is out in the shops and it’s a belter! Very much a water & beach focused issue it will set you up for a great summer in Abersoch and surrounding area. Features editor Rhiannon Jenkins explains a little about what is inside:

“In this issue of Abersoch Magazine, we discuss the topic of sustainability and the ways in which we can live greener lives: from purchasing local vegetable boxes to cleaning our beaches and reducing plastic pollution, there are ways to protect our little piece of paradise. We have also picked out some of the area’s finest restaurants that have long championed the fruits of our coastline. What better place to savour seafood than in Abersoch and the surrounding area?

Here on the Llŷn, summer is all about adventure and in this issue we profile Holly Price, whose travels we follow as she makes her way around the peninsula in the iconic blue campervan. If you are wanting to partake in your own adventure this summer but unwilling to sacrifice home comforts, we have a solution to your qualms: three new glamping ventures have set-up camp in the area, all of which are impatiently waiting to accommodate the discerning camper! Glamorous camping is the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and comfort, which means that you can enjoy the wild beauty of the Llŷn in the style of a true millennial. Alternatively, you can follow and support the adventure of our very own Kevin Bell’s #thehometownpaddle, as he paddleboards from his new hometown of Abersoch to his former hometown of Poynton, all for Cancer Research UK.

This summer, I will be unearthing the treasures of my own home. Whether Abersoch is your home or a much loved holiday destination, there are buildings of great historical importance that we know nothing about, such as the mystery of Madryn Castle disclosed in this issue. There are also beaches we are yet to set foot on, such as the hidden Sixpenny Beach, also discussed in this issue. Abersoch and the surrounding area really is a treasure trove, waiting to be delved into. So wherever it is you decide to venture on the Llŷn this summer, enjoy the wonders of this magical part of the world.”
