John Wormald now lives in Abersoch, after moving from the North West 3 years ago. John had been coming to Abersoch for over 40 years, when the opportunity arose to come and live here full time, with his new wife Amanda. He set up his website www.minxpix.co.uk in 2006 and it is full of his photos of people and places around the Llyn Penninsula. John’s beautiful shots have been hugely popular and can often be seen gracing the pages of Abersoch Sensation Magazine. Check out his gallery Totally Abersoch on the road to Sarn Bach at Plas Llwyndu. www.totallyabersoch.co.uk

Marcus ‘Nock’ Sandy based in Llanbedrog Llanbedrog adores the landscape of the Llŷn. He describes Abersoch and the surrounding area as ‘the most beautiful place to photograph’ and loves the panoramic scenery, the wildlife, the watersports and the ever changing light. Nock holidayed here as a child, learning to sail in the bay, and feels there is something very special about being out on the water. He is fascinated by the ways the sea changes with the wind and the tide and how its colour is influenced by the sky. He also loves the reflections created by sunlight and moonlight when the sea is calm. He’s inspired by the people and the activity in the village, on the beach and out in the bay, describing it as ‘a photographer’s dream’. Nock’s love of the outdoors is evident in his fantastic images – hard to believe that he only began to take a real interest in photography around seven years ago and currently fits his passion for photography around his day job! You can view his images at www.abersochdaydreams.co.uk

Mae Marcus ‘Nock’ Sandy, sy’n byw yn Llanbedrog, wedi gwirioni â thirwedd Llŷn. Mae’n disgrifio Abersoch a’r cylch fel ‘y lle prydferthaf i dynnu lluniau’ ac mae wrth ei fod â’r golygfeydd panoramig, y bywyd gwyllt, y chwaraeon dŵr a’r golau cyfnewidiol. Bu Nock yma ar ei wyliau droeon fel plentyn, gan ddysgu hwylio yn y bae, ac mae’n teimlo bod rhywbeth arbennig iawn am fod allan ar y môr. Mae’r ffordd y mae’r môr yn newid gyda’r gwynt a’r llanw a’r modd y mae’r awyr yn dylanwadu ar ei liw yn ei swyno. Mae hefyd wrth ei fodd â’r adlewyrchiadau y mae golau’r haul a’r lleuad yn eu creu pan fo’r môr yn dawel. Caiff ei ysbrydoli gan bobl a bwrlwm y pentref, ar y traeth ac allan yn y bae, gan ei ddisgrifio fel ‘breuddwyd ffotograffydd’. Mae cariad Nock tuag at yr awyr agored yn amlwg yn ei ddelweddau gwych – mae’n anodd credu mai dim ond tua saith mlynedd yn ôl y dechreuodd gymryd diddordeb go iawn mewn ffotograffiaeth, a’i fod bellach yn ffitio’i angerdd am ffotograffiaeth o gwmpas ei waith bob dydd!
